A couple weeks ago I was privileged to travel to the country of Guatemala for a Missions Trip. To say that it made a significant impact on my life-view would be an understatement.  It was a PROSPECTIVE CHANGER!  There are times that I look at the state of the world we are living in and I wonder how much further away from God our country can move and I often complain about politics, my neighbors dogs or the fact that my husband hasn't completed the remodel on my upstairs office.  However, going into the villages of Guatemala and seeing how content the people of those villages are within their humble houses (that are the size of my dining room) and grateful they are to any "hand-up" you can give them has forever changed how I personally view my life.  Despite the circumstances we may be facing in our lives there is one fact that resignates among all of us . . .WE ARE TRULY BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE. The fact that I have 2 healthy children, a husband who is home and has work, a car (well, okay a mini-van) that gets me to where I need to go.  Blessings are abundant in my life and I know if you evaluate the joys that you have around you, you will discover that they abound around you too. Today, I challenge you (as I challenge myself) not to allow circumstances to blind you to your blessings.  When you recognize your blessings and are thankful you open yourself up to receive even more.
