A Note from Monica:
Through the years, I have had a lot of life experiences . . . some good and some, well, bad. Through these life events I have learned a valuable lesson: When you face an obstacle in life, you have two choices. You can choose to let that event define who you are OR you can use it as a building block to become the person you were meant to be. In the Book of Philippians, the Apostle Paul writes about his past, his present and the goals of his future. He says “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me…” In our society there seems to be a stigma of not taking responsibility for our actions or for our future. There are constant attempts to blame other people or past problems for current unhealthy behavior. Well, if I have learned one thing in my life experiences it’s this . . . in order to take control of your destiny and become the person you were meant to be you have to get PAST YOUR PAST! It’s time to step forward into the future and stop looking behind to find excuses. If you are ready to look to the future and stop blaming the past, I would love to take this journey with you. Side by side we can travel this road called LIFE and together we can discover God’s ultimate plan for your life!
